Someone has defined success as “the ability to see beyond the fog.” What would you envision if you could see beyond the fog that is presently blurring your vision, beyond the things that are holding you back? Things like the fear of rejection, the fear of failure, or even the fear of success. I encourage you to take some time and write down those things that are holding you back. After all, change begins with identifying the issues within that need changing.
Cathy struggled for ten years with picking up the phone to follow up with her leads. She would procrastinate as much as she could but knew she had to make the calls for the success of her business. There was always this weight of guilt that hung over her. She tried putting a half-hour on the calendar every day to make calls. That lasted a few days and then she would check her emails or respond to her text instead of making the calls.
As I helped Cathy recognize what she was really dealing with was the fear of rejection, her whole perspective changed. Now she could address the real issue. As she faced her fear, she immediately had the freedom to make her phone calls, invite women to be a part of her team, and her entire business turned around.
Breaking through the fog can set you up for success beyond your wildest dreams. It will give you clarity, direction, breakthrough, vision, and a renewed confidence and motivation to move forward.
“Having a simple, clearly defined goal can capture the imagination and inspire passion. It can cut through the fog like a beacon in the night.” — Author Unknown.
